Scandals or Solutions: It’s Our Choice

Pick a scandal, any scandal, whichever GOP “look over there” distraction you prefer, but know, we are the central intelligence for solutions: first step – stop electing pretend patriots.

If your head is spinning from media hyperbole, you might be a misinformed patriot, but when you use the power of distractions from building a Walmart to save a JC Penny from pounds of Bangladesh flesh, trapped in GAP of collapsed Target fashions, you might be a corporate patriot.

If you think putting men in charge of preventing rape in the Military is best, you might be a triple threat candidate for Fort Hood Army sergeant first class, or Fort Campbell sexual assault prevention program manager, or AF head for sexual abuse prevention program, dug in five-sided symbol of male power.

‘When there’s a 35% increase in unreported sexual assault incidents over two years, totaling 26,000 up from 19,300 in 2010,’ And The Hill & Media are pushing fake Benghazi scandal, while ignoring fashion statement of 1,100 dead (up from 146 dead in 1911 NYC Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire – mostly women 16—23 years old ) and forgetting if Obama was micro-managing our tax returns, he would have found those MIAs belonging to Mitt Romney, you might be a selective patriot.

BUT, we do have real scandals and we need real patriots to address them, like Jim Graves (MN),  Ed Markey (MA) and Ed Marksberry (KY), not to mention Terry McCauliffe saving Virginian women from the “War on Women” warrior Ken Cuccinelli who doesn’t know his running mate “well enough.”

• 1st Scandal:  the immensely complicated constant search for balance between protecting American civilians & military both here and abroad, without delivering us into the evil of surveillance cameras overkill and diminished freedom of the Press to investigate and inform.  Drones & Gitmo vs. Acts of Terror – Foreign & Domestic, compete to diminish our freedom to Marathon, Parade and Gather Together without fear.

Of course, when Media chooses to report unverified, repetitious, if it bleeds it leads, opinionated garbage in garbage out, over-simplified soundbite drivel, then “The Fourth Branch of Government” has committed ‘Mediacide’ and with pre-emptive strike, traded in its First Amendment Freedoms, for “Citizens United” abuses.

• 2nd Scandal;  if “We the People,” continue re-electing, to The House of Representatives, Governors’ Mansions and the U. S. Senate, self-serving, power hungry, cracker bribed parrots, expecting soaring eagles, and, that alone, a President can dictate to all three to deliver change we can believe in, we might be  ‘Ostrichsized’ patriots, but if we are the inept or immoral ‘play within the play’ caricatures playing Americans for fools, we might be a Bachman or Mitch patriot.

If we continue to believe the myths of distraction are truthful, our national truth becomes a myth.

America’s heritage comes from immigrants, and was not intended as whitewash cover for Heritage Foundation scandal promotion.  Working middle class Americans weary of corporate & government “bull-hockey,” just might be common sense patriots, asking “What About Us?” But if you love the Cantor banter of a House divided gone Hollywood with on camera grandstanding, then you just might be a scandal monger patriot.

If you use “Deficit Ceiling” to camouflage budget cuts to education, after school programs and elder care, you might be a European austerity patriot.

Yes, IRS zealots, like Hoover’s FBI, have abused Mission since 1959, so instead of fighting Affordable Health Care for all, or a possible first female president, why aren’t we demanding fewer game show hosts in Congress and more jobs voting patriots?

If you dismiss minority H. S.dropouts, ignore University grad’s $200,000 student loan debt and Banks “Dual Tracking” homeowners into foreclosure, you might be a ‘me, me, me’ patriot, but if you truly believe ‘there but for the Golden Rule,’ you are a real American patriot, who is not fooled by GOP obstructions….

Mother’s Day: The Battle Hymn of The Republic and Gun Violence

Whether in our daily lives or national character: Women Matter.  Desiring children or solo facing life’s challenges, Women Matter.  All Matter, from infancy to minors to greats: Grandmothers, Moms, wives, sisters, cousins and aunts; from babysitters to teachers, from first responders to military and caregivers, women matter.

All Americans are honored to the degree we celebrate Mothers and value daughters.  Whether at State or home, in church or office, religious or atheist, gay or straight, Republican or Democrat, regardless of income, age, shape, color, size, to our collective shame:  women are vulnerable to inequality, or as Justice Scalia puts it, ‘discrimination on the basis of sex is not prohibited by the US Constitution.’

For national scandal, we need look no further than the fifteen states, whose elected state legislators have denied the female half of America the same Constitutional equality taken for granted by their husbands, fathers, brothers and sons, while the United States Congress plays political gotcha games for media frenzy cameras before the free and easy flight home, after a three day work week.

Why would members of The Executive Branch have any reason to be concerned that members of the Darrell Issa & “outraged by the outrage” Inhofe Party, would ever produce a staged select committee ‘shock and awe’ show using the deaths of four Americans in Foreign Service to their country?

Could it be a “run of the play” Congressional contract with Corporate America to provide tax cuts via funding cuts for programs that help those who actually need it?  Could it be the losses inflicted on Middle Class families, because Congress policing itself with a thing called Sequester, let it happen?  Could it be schools closing, while Congress makes convenient self-serving air travel exceptions?  Or could it just be Republican Senators refusing to confirm dozens of presidential judicial nominees?

Could it really be anything as anti-American as impeding a “fair and balanced” judiciary, or just continued “Right” resistance to funding after school programs, consumer protection, preferring green energy over oil pollution; or maybe, it’s just the anti-vote against black looking Obama wanting to allow the invasion of all those Blue voting brown people and their same sex marriage cohabitants.

The only independent civic and civil oversight to guarantee transparent interactive government to ‘defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion….to faithfully discharge the duties of the office…’ forty hours a week, is “We the People.”

Yes to more accountability for  elected who elected to allow Wall Street financial rape of Main Street,  9/11,  Abu Ghraib & Guantanamo torture,  rape in the military,  deaths and maiming of thousands following orders in a war lacking all legal justification –  but apply also to Congress, Pentagon and Society:  “First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

As much as any bomb in any city or China stealing our secrets, allowing our Congress to play “Showtime” for corporate profit, while our children are ‘left behind’ vulnerable to obesity, gun violence and educational inadequacy is self-inflicted terrorism.

It is our voter I. D. until we are no longer deluded by ‘coming attractions’ from “The Hill.”  It’s not the distractions of budget deficit.  It’s the ‘reality show’ of employment deficit, while defending NRA delivers another shooting, during Mother’s Day Parade.

Happy Mother’s Day to All, and to all, insist on ratification of The Equal Rights Amendment, and gun control, because in the U. S. Constitution, we should all matter.

In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask

That a general congress of women without limit of nationality

May be appointed and held at some place deemed most convenient

And at the earliest period consistent with its objects

To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,

The amicable settlement of international questions.

The great and general interests of peace.

Want to Reclaim Solid Rock Congress from Mitch & Cantor sinkhole?

Jobs up, unemployment down:

Imagine what a President could do if Congressional Corporatism wasn’t tunneling sinkholes beneath American recovery.

Even in the wake of Ashley Judd, “Make Obama a One Term President,” Senate Minority Leader has a problem:  ”What About Us,” working class guy, Ed Marksberry.

Judging Mitch by the company he keeps in ‘good ol’ boy’ rebranding locker room, gun hands Glenn Beck, Teds Nugent & Cruz, Sarah Palin, Ricks Perry & Santorum, Eric Cantor and Wayne LaPierre, Congress needs a recall overhaul.

Is it wrong to long for that old time American unity through discourse, debate and compromise when ‘The Right’ platform post Mitch decree is, ‘give no victories to Obama, for a fee.’

Is it wrong for guns to have more constitutional rights than women, in a country founded by powerful property owners of people, like ‘The Right’ Supremists who created “Citizens United” in their own image?

How can it be wrong to favor ‘The Right’ men of NRA corporate profit profiting, while nine out of ten Americans agree that somebody purchasing a firearm needs a background fling.  Surely only the wrong people could question “The Right” thing.

If it’s wrong to thank Arizona Senator McCain for casting a vote for public safety, then New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotteit was in “The Right” to vote for NRA leadership, instead of the majority of its membership.

Votes for political candidates, like gifts for children, remind us, ‘what is past is prologue,’ when ‘The Right’ Attorney General deserts sinking Governor’s vaginal probe ship exposed afloat, wedded to the James in rudderless bid for Potomac shore vote.

Even before America was America, and perhaps even to become American, we were a people who depended on horses, guns, slaves, even women, not only to create ‘America the Beautiful,’ but an America of conquerors and takers, ‘rougher, simpler, more violent, less refined,’ somewhat quick tempered, but ultimately enterprising and giving – Empire Builders sailing ‘The Great White Fleet” around the globe — but not “Imperialistic,” or so we are told.

“We the People” produced both Sally Hemings and George Washington; Paul Revere and Molly Hays McCauley  (aka Molly Pitcher).  After Molly’s husband was killed manning his Revolutionary post, the queen of hydration, replaced him as commander of his cannon group for three hours, when, General George Washington designated her, a Sergeant in the Continental Army.  Yes, women mattered, even then.

Still some Presidential libraries continue ‘The Right’ history of the select few, a piecemeal that devalues Americans of all ages, colors and both sexes, with degrading “incomplete,” justly due.

Every voter has the opportunity to recapture the gifts of those neglected in history books, by voting for a government completed only by the best of all reflects, rather than rewarding those who are in the pink with “My First Rifle,” profits.  Fortunately, before having contact with our children, most are required to have background checks.

Decreasing numbers of Americans are ‘Right’ proud that between December 14, 2012 and Wednesday April 17, 2013, the NRA membership lost to the NRA leadership over Congress – that’s 70,000 in Houston defeating four million nationwide.  Now, that’s “Right!”

Founding Fathers intended insulation against mob rule by the “great unwashed hordes,” but little protection against politicians awash with dirty oil corporatism.  When 85—90% of Americans agree, isn’t it American patriotism, by decree?  And with female half of America NOT Constitutionally Equal, men like Mitch McConnell deserve no sequel.

So by Amendment we have to take it, as new Constitution wrinkle.
